I just got my Dana 300 back last night from Appalachian Offroad. It is now completely rebuilt with a JB conversions 4:1 kit.
I will probably get it in and running this weekend, so I will be itching to do some wheeling soon. That is if I can every get some time off work. I have been working mad hours, as you may have noticed I have not been on here very much. Hope to see everyone on the trails.

You are going to really enjoy that new 4:1 it is going to give you alot more control.You will really like it on the rocks.(HINT Blue ridge?)

never realized how much the 4:1 gearing did til I got my RUBI. it is amazing. cruising around RC in 1st or 2nd gear itrs pretty much point and shoot, no throttle is really needed. it just creeps and crawls over almost anything. its awesome

Oh, and it will be the first time out on the LTBs.

Jeep is back together and slower than ever. Everything turned out good. Gotta get out and play sometime soon.

So what did your final crawl ratio end up being?

I cant wait to see it with the new ltbs and the new crawl in low range .I bet it is crazy low .

105:1 is my crawl ratio now. It is really a lot smoother to crawl with now. I put it in a concrete culvert and ran the front end into the dirt ahead of me. The engine wouldn't stall it just slowly spun all four tires on the concrete. I am sure I will like it a lot.

You will. It's a lot better than riding the clutch and bouncing over everything.
